The Republican National Celebration "Peledysh Payrem" ("The Celebration of Flowers")

The celebration is an integral part of the national culture of Mari people. It praises the peaceful labour, working people, serves to strengthen the national identity of the people, its unity, supports the idea of preserving the language, songs, dances, folk costume, promotes friendship among nations. The event programme features:
